These layout patterns appear repeatedly in our site assessments. Dimensions assume standard 42U open-frame racks and equipment drawing 3 kW or more per unit. Use them as starting points — your ceiling height, PDU position, and forklift routes will require adjustments.

Choosing a Pattern

Pattern A suits new builds with ceiling height to spare. Pattern B works when containment budget is tight but aisle width is at least 1.2 m. Pattern C is common in leased warehouses where the landlord restricts floor penetrations for containment. Pattern D maximises hashrate per square metre but demands disciplined cable management. Pattern E simplifies electrical work on sites with limited electrician availability. Pattern F is mandatory for side-intake hardware — there is no compatible alternative orientation.
