MicroBT’s M50S++ registers 150 TH/s in our climate chamber, well above the 0.05 TH/s review threshold. We installed four units in a hot-aisle row at a co-location facility in Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Aisle Width Requirements

The unit’s 410 mm width plus cable bend radius needs a minimum 1.35 m aisle for safe PDU swap without shutting the adjacent bay. At 1.2 m — common in older Korean industrial units — technicians had to approach from the hot-aisle side only.

Exhaust Pattern

Top-rear exhaust creates a visible heat plume that rises into overhead cable trays if trays sit below 3.2 m. We recommend offsetting trays to the cold-aisle side or adding deflector baffles when ceiling height is limited.

Noise

Dual 120 mm fans measured 78 dB at 1 m in an open warehouse. Acoustic panels on the hot-aisle containment dropped this to 71 dB on the cold-aisle walk path — acceptable for staffed monitoring desks at row ends.

Verdict

Strong efficiency for the power draw. Plan wider aisles or accept hot-aisle-only maintenance access. Pair with vertical PDU mounting to keep cable runs off the floor during forklift traffic.
