Our History
File Lagooncore Mining Review began in 2017 when two former industrial HVAC technicians in Daegu started documenting how cryptocurrency mining hardware behaved inside repurposed logistics warehouses. South Korea’s industrial parks offered cheap floor space but rarely came with aisle layouts suited to 3 kW-per-U heat loads.
We published our first aisle-fit guide for Antminer S9 rows in 2018 and expanded into on-site assessments after a Gumi facility lost a breaker panel to phase imbalance. By 2020 we were reviewing every major ASIC release above 0.05 TH/s and mapping each unit against cold-aisle containment standards used in Korean co-location facilities.
Today we serve warehouse operators, co-location hosts, and install crews across South Korea. Our team includes three field engineers, one electrical specialist, and two report editors who translate site measurements into floor plans electricians can follow.
How We Work
We do not sell hardware or take referral commissions from manufacturers. Review units are either purchased outright or loaned under written agreement with no editorial conditions. Every measurement is taken on warehouse floors, not in climate-controlled labs, because that is where your equipment will actually run.
Site visits follow a consistent protocol: photograph intake paths, log ambient temps hourly, measure wall power with calibrated meters, and map aisle clearances with a laser distance tool. Reports are delivered in Korean or English depending on your crew’s preference.
